Freakling Brothers Trilogy of Terror – Las Vegas
Oct 20 @ 6:00 pm

Freak Facts

Established in 1976, Freakling Bros., creators of Las Vegas’ premiere haunted attractions, unveiled the cities first free-standing haunted attractions in 1992 at the corner of Sahara and Decatur Boulevard.Circus of Horrors

Three years later the company pioneered the development of the industry’s first six trailer, completely self-contained mobile attraction, paving the way for a new concept in “haunted houses” that would sweep the country.

By the year 2000, two additional attractions had been added giving the company three separate and unique haunted structures. Every few years one of these attractions is demolished and completely rebuilt, insuring Freakling Bros. the ability to present the newest and most innovative technology available.

Gates of HellIn 2011, in an aggressive attempt to remain on the cutting edge, we unveiled the first ever R-Rated Haunted attraction in the state of Nevada, The Gates of Hell: an experiment in serious, uncompromising, interactive horror. It was an unprecedented gamble based on one simple theory: that our adult audience was ready for something more. What we had initially built for a niche’ audience surprised us by becoming a main stream success. Geared for the 17+ crowd, and based on the concept that “things happen to you”, The GATES of HELL is now a nationwide haunt industry phenomenon and an absolute game changer in the city of Las Vegas. 2011 represented a sort of rebirth for Freakling Bros. We experienced overwhelming crowds, and were Ranked #1 in the Western U.S. by Scarezone.com.

Then in 2013, with the unveiling of The Victim Experience, an all new level of intensity was achieved: “The only must-see Haunt in Nevada!”. “Third most Extreme Haunt in America!”. “Our staff considers Freakling Bros. one of the top Haunted Attractions in the world!”. We have reestablished ourselves, once again, as the trend setter in the haunt industry.

Circus of Horrors Performer

By concentrating on primal fears, relying on the power of live performers, and employing the art of theatrical illusion, Freakling Bros. has been and continues to remain a leader in the haunted attraction industry, with a reputation as “one of the best in the business” for over 30 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be scared?
Hopefully, that IS the purpose of a Haunted House! Remember different things frighten different people. What you might find disturbing may be terrifying to others. Our main goal is to entertain!

Can I bring children?
While you can bring children, it is up to the individual parent. We try and present a very realistic environment that may be disturbing for those of an impressionable age. But it will vary with the individual. We have had adults pee their pants and the 8 year old with them want to go through again!! Only YOU know what is best for your child.

You said some people actually pee their pants?
Yes, that IS true! We usually have several confirmed “wetters” each weekend. See, our goal IS to entertain!

Can the actors touch you?
No. While the actors are trained not to touch you, the very close proximity or your own fear may result in you accidentally bumping into one of our actors. Of course if you don’t behave while in the haunt you’re “Open Season!” The “Undead” have been know to rip off an arm or leg, depending on what’s closest!!

Is the fog or smoke dangerous?
We do not use any chemical fog within the structure of the attraction. We may utilize a fog machine in outdoor areas. It is a glycol based fog that is totally safe and harmless, but does look cool!

Can I bring my cell phone?
Sure you can bring it, but it is best if you turn it off and bury it deep in a pocket during your “stay”. Cell phone use is not allowed within the haunt and when scared anything in your hand or easily accessible pocket is usually the first thing that goes!!! Anything lost within the haunt will be collected at the evening’s end and available at the ticket booth the following night. Good rule, if you don’t want to lose it… don’t bring it!

Is photography allowed?
Sorry, but no. There are many reasons including the fact that a flash or strobe will temporarily blind our actors. It disrupts the other guest’s experience. If you are pausing to take pictures you slow down the line behind you. Besides you walk through our attractions with your hands on the shoulders of the person in front of you, so you will be too busy to take pictures. See the web site, there are cool pictures there (and we already tossed out the ones that were blurry!)

Is this one of those Haunts that just have a bunch of black walls and then some spots where the actor jumps out and screams BOO!
That is blasphemy! We pride ourselves in the fact that our job is to transport you into an altered reality. You do not merely walk a hallway and look into a cheesy scene, you walk through and are enveloped to become part of the scene. This is a living (or unliving) themed story that you not only see, but experience. You escape the mundane rigors of your normal life to spend a few minutes in the heightened experience of OUR world! There are black areas within the Haunt because let’s face it, our biggest fear is the dark! Oh and by the way, our actors NEVER say BOO! Electroshock Therapy took care of that!!!

So will I see a jumbled sequence of different rooms like aliens, then vampires, then clowns?
Remember I said a THEMED story! The Asylum is just that, a walk through a sanitarium. You may become one of the patients, but you won’t find an alien ship next to a vampire right behind the werewolf. Our Hotel Fear may have some strange guests, but sorry no aliens! We try to stay true to the theme, again to immerse you in our altered reality! Our haunts are NATIONALLY recognized attractions, voted one of the Top 13 Haunts in the country!!!

So will I see Freddy or Leatherface or other movie monsters?
No, while someone like Freddy might be institutionalized, movie monsters have no business in our haunts. Any movie monster is a copyrighted character and should not be used without written permission. We utilize original characters and storylines. While it may take more imagination, the result is more satisfying for both the actors AND the audience.

Is there an R rated Haunted House?
There is no such thing as a rated haunted house, unless you are rating it yourself. Claiming an attraction is R or even X rated is merely a marketing gimmick. Of course if a Haunt says it is X rated and publicizes it has nudity, you might want to ask some questions! Some haunts are more intense due to their design or theme. Ours are more intense. We do not design them for children or even teens. We do not overuse gore. Too many have an attitude that if you can’t think of a way to actually scare people, then make it gory. Instead, we scare people!!

What are your attractions rated?
Again we do not have “ratings”. A reporter went through and told us that… ” If other haunts are supposed to be R rated then I would have to rate this XXX! This was REALLY scary!” His words not mine! You be the judge.

Is there a Haunted House with 13 floors and you get your money back if you make it through?
That’s called an Urban Legend. If one person made it through, he would just tell all his friends the “secret” and the haunt would be out of business!!! We HAVE to make money or we can’t come back next year!!
Is there a refund policy?
Sure… our policy is there is NO refund! Once you buy your tickets, you own them. It is our job to scare you. If you stand in line and get too scared to go in, then we have already done our job before you even entered!!! If you are too scared to continue, we have done our job! If we have done our job, there is no reason for a refund!

Is there a discount for children?
No. We do NOT discriminate! We scare everyone equally!

Is there a group discount?
Yes. Qualified groups of twelve (12) or more can receive a discount if the tickets are purchased in advance. For any group sales questions email groupsales AT lasvegashaunts.com. Include a contact phone number and we will call you.

Are there discounts available?
Yes! We have discount coupons available at our sponsor’s locations. There is also an online coupon with a valid email address. No coupon can be combined with any other coupon or offer.

How can I get additional information?
If your questions are not answered here email us at: info AT lasvegashaunts.com

FAQ
Q. Is this a walk through haunted house?
A. Yes and no. This is a fully theatrical, immersive haunted show. It has a complete storyline combining elements of theater, 4D effects, and haunted mazes. It’s an all-new show coming to San Francisco so expect the unexpected!
Q. What do you mean by immersive?
A. You will be placed in the action as participants in this twisted tale of horror. More than the 4th wall gets broken here. As in any theatrical show there is NO cell phone use during the show, and NO talking unless encouraged by an actor. If you disrupt or disturb the show, you will be swiftly removed without a refund. However, screaming is acceptable… and inevitable.
Q. Will the actors touch me?
A. That’s up to you! Do you want to be a passive participant and watch the action happen around you — or do you want the adrenaline rush of being part of the action? At the start of the show you will be asked to choose to OPT IN or OPT OUT for interactivity. Those who dare to OPT IN for interactivity should be prepared to be shocked, thrilled, and amazed. If you are someone who likes to “choose your own adventure” we recommend you OPT IN.
Q. How long is the experience? How many people in a group?
A. It takes a minimum of 45 minutes from start to finish. The show starts at intervals of approximately 5 minutes. We limit the groups to 12 people. If you don’t want to be placed with strangers, we suggest getting 12 people together for a complete group. When you arrive, we let us know you are all together and we will accommodate you.
Q. Are there any warnings or rules I need to be aware of?
A. There are fog machines, strobe lights, and special effects in use. We use live actors, moving and non-moving props. Props, actors, and effects might confuse and disorient you. We have security cameras everywhere in the show for both your protection and ours. We also ask you to adhere to these rules:
No cell phones during the show. You will be asked to leave if caught using one.
No talking unless you are engaged in conversation with an actor.
No touching the actors unless they encourage or ask you to do so.
No foul language or bad behavior will be tolerated and are grounds for ejection, at our discretion.
No smoking at any time.
If you are asked to leave by our security team, there are no refunds.
Q. What if I miss my ticket time slot or miss the show?
A. If you are late for the time listed on your ticket we will try to accommodate you as best as we can. The tickets are timed for a reason. We won’t guarantee entrance beyond the time listed on the ticket. There are no refunds and no exchanges.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Wear comfortable clothes that you can walk or climb stairs in. Please no high heels, masks, backpacks or personal items that have value to you. Leave all personal items (phones, wallets. etc.) in the coat check. We are not responsible for clothing or personal items that could get lost or damaged.
Q. What is the age range for this show?
A. The show is 21 and over and ID is required to gain entrance.
Q. How is their food or drink at the venue?
A. There will be a full open bar every night of the show. No food will be served but there are plenty of places close by where you can get something to eat before or after the show.
Q. Is there parking?
A. There is no parking at the venue. However, there are several public parking lots in and around Fifth Street and Mission Street.
Q. What if I have questions not answered here?
A. You can go to [email protected]

Re-live childhood nightmares playing hide-and-seek with Scary Mary and her sinister teddy bear in Lullaby. Escape the Ringmaster’s big top before becoming a specimen in the oddities museum of Circus. Head to boot camp with Half Hatch Henry for a reimagined storyline of the fan-favorite maze, Deadrise, to experience Captain’s rigorous training camp. Feeling Intrepid? Traverse the John Brown Shipyard and try to hide from the lurking creatures in the Scottish Highlands aboard Iron Master’s express train to hell. Clock-in to a shift aboard the infamous Grey Ghost and avoid Chef’s chopping block while working up an appetite for flesh in the maze FEAST.

At Midsummer Scream on Sunday, July 29, the producers of Dark Harbor announced a devilishly-perfect addition to their creative team, the sinister & twisted mind of Jon Cooke. The NEW Dark Harbor Production Designer brings with him over a decade of experience designing some of SoCal’s most celebrated theme parks and haunted attractions.

As Dark Harbor’s darkest and most sinister season approaches, those daring enough to set foot on property will navigate a bone-chilling 9-degree Ice Bar, dodge hundreds of devious entities, seek out hidden havens, indulge in devilish treats, imbibe intense concoctions, survive Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch Sinister Swings, brave the Panic 4D Experience, and white-knuckle death-defying aerial and fire stunts for the haunt’s most frighteningly immersive season yet.

Let the countdown begin: 6 blood-curdling mazes, 5 weeks of terror, 3 new secret bars, 2 electrifying stages, 1 way out…

The annual haunt returns to the Queen Mary on September 27 and continues to scare those who dare on select nights through November 2. Rotten Apple 907 – Home Haunt @ The Meyer Home
Oct 20 @ 7:00 pm

Rotten Apple 907, our home haunted attraction, started off as child’s birthday party and has grown to become an experience that people look forward to attending each year. Now it is designed and built by all the members of the Meyer family, as well as a terrific group of people who volunteer their time and building and acting skills.

Over the years, the group has dedicated a lot time and effort to learning how to make our haunt even better! As a result, each year’s house is more detailed and exciting, and the number of people attending our Haunted House increases. In 2015, we welcomed over 3000 people through the doors of our Haunted House, and we look forward to welcoming many more.

Rotten Apple 907 is proud to be a non-profit event! Each year we accept donations which are then given directly to a charity in need. Theatre Macabre @ TBA
Oct 20 @ 7:00 pm

Theatre Macabre

The Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol was a Paris playhouse formed in the turn of the century that ran for nearly 70 years and featured nearly all of society’s taboos. These artisans proudly put a spotlight on the people and subject matter that the rest of polite society was too afraid to talk about let alone embrace.

At Theatre Macabre you will return to the darkest chapter of theater’s past while simultaneously experiencing the most cutting-edge breakthroughs of today’s immersive entertainment leaders.

Hilarious, shocking and electrifying vignettes await at every turn but so do the purveyors of these dark arts and they may, or may not, have your best interest in mind. Ever increasingly, the line between what is real and what is simply unsettling entertainment will become more and more divided as the night wears on. Audience members will find themselves dragged away from and into the show itself while the narrative transforms and mutates to slowly making them the lead of their very own terrifying story.

Theater Macabre invites you to drink, laugh and watch someone die…

The legend started in 1938 when Southern California had 14 days of rain causing sever flooding. Here is part of the article from the Santa Ana Register (now the OC Register)

Corona, CA — AP
As the flood waters subside from 2 week of flooding, 13 coffins were
discovered in the wooded area next to River Rd and Archibald Ave in
the city of Corona. “The coffins are believed to from the abandoned
Guasti Cemetery in the city Ontario” said Officer Willmans. Officer
Willmans went on to say “The coffins were found by some locals floating
in a small creek that runs through the woods. The authority’s and
locals started referring to this area as Coffin Creek.

The authority’s continue to search the woods for the remains of the 13

other empty coffins were found in the woods, some 30 yards to the west

As the sun rose, Officer Willmans said ” We had to stop searching

Doctor Zomba is a modern day revival of the “Ghost Show” popular in the 1950’s that features spooky magic, comedy, a séance, and an immersive blackout sequence at the climax where the audience is in total darkness and surrounded by supernatural phenomena they can see, hear & feel! Opens October 20th at The Complex, 6476 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

Join Doctor Zomba, his lovely assistant Sirena, and the slightly less lovely Ear-Gore as they perform mesmerizing tricks, contact the dead, and unleash monsters from beyond the grave! See Sirena’s Dance of the Damned, banned in 47 countries! See Professor Payne’s infamous Mutilator Machine. It thirsts for blood! Will it be yours?! Starring David M Beach as Doctor Zomba!

“This Halloween treat will satisfy your horror craving and tickle your funny bone.”- Steve Biodrowski, Hollywood Gothique
“A screwball comedy full of spooky delights.”-Magician Rob Zabrecky

WHO IS THIS SHOW FOR? All the monster kids that grew up loving Halloween, haunted houses, Famous Monsters of Filmland, & TV Horror Hosts. While much of the supernatural phenomena in the Ghost Show is played for laughs, there is a two-minute blackout sequence at the climax in which the audience is in pitch darkness, and they will SEE, HEAR and FEEL the mysterious & unexplained. If your child is younger than 9, or afraid of the dark, this might not be the show for them.

Friday October 26th, Midnight
Saturday October 27th 3:00 p.m.

THE CAST: David M Beach, Kerr Lordygan, Tamara Torres & Richard Jay.

DIRECTED BY Kevin Wetmore (Professor & Chair of Theatre Arts at Loyola Marymount University).

WRITTEN/PRODUCED BY David Lucarelli (writer of Tinseltown from Alterna Comics & The Children’s Vampire Hunting Brigade graphic novels). “Before they put on haunted houses for Halloween, ghost shows were a spooky, scary, funny way to celebrate the things that go bump in the night. The climax of each show was the blackout sequence in which the audience was enveloped in supernatural phenomena. We went back and studied the actual ghost show manuals from the 1950’s, and then we came up with a few tricks of our own! For our Halloween run we consulted with a magician from the Magic Castle who gave us a great idea for a new effect we’ll be adding.”

“The casting of David M Beach as Doctor Zomba proved to be a real stroke of luck. One of the best ghost shows from the 50’s was Doctor Silkini’s. Years ago, the people that had the rights to the show hand picked comedian/actor/magician David Beach to be the new Doctor Silkini for a revival. It didn’t end up happening, but we’re extremely excited to we have the natural successor to one of the Ghost Show masters as our star!’

Freakling Brothers Trilogy of Terror – Las Vegas
Oct 21 @ 6:00 pm

Oct 21 @ 7:00 pm

Southern California’s most authentically terrifying haunt, will once again rise from the depths on September 27, drenched in legend and oozing with a sordid past. Regarded as one of the most haunted places on Earth, the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor is a thrill-seekers’ delight, blurring the lines of history and hysteria, and for the 2018 season, the event will disorient fans with an entirely NEW park footprint along with NEW maze designs, INTERACTIVE alternate paths, and THRILLING live entertainment.

“This coming season attendees are invited to descend into Dark Harbor’s newly, Omni-immersive and hyper-enhanced mazes for its darkest season yet,” stated Charity Hill, Executive Producer of Dark Harbor. “With a myriad of voluntary experiences, alternate paths, secret bars, and hidden passages we are proud to deliver a choose-your-own-adventure mega haunt.”

Put on a detective’s hat and retrace the steps of Samuel the Savage to solve the gruesome murders in B340.

General Admission ticket prices start at just $20 online with optional limited upgrades to Fast Fright, Evil Express, VIP, Ultimate Scream, Creepy Cabanas, and Private Patios (available while supplies last).

Rotten Apple 907 – Home Haunt @ The Meyer Home
Oct 21 @ 7:00 pm

There is no overhead taken out of the contributions, which means that 100% of the money received is sent to the charity. In 2015, we donated over $4000 to Burbank Temporary Aid Center of Burbank. For more information about this year’s charity or about previous year’s charities, please check out the “Charity Info” tab above.

We thank you for visiting our site and we hope that you will join us for a scare.

Early Hills Sanitarium, once a state of the art maximum security and rehabilitation center had become an obsolete facility in disrepair. Plagued with faulty medical equipment, questionable methods of treatment, and a population of unstable residents, the sanatorium had evolved in to a ticking time bomb, until finally….”
