The Tension Experience – Updates
We just wrote about The Tension Experience a couple weeks ago and since that time, a lot has happened involving them both personally and in general.
We ended our last article stating that both Russell and I had meetings set up for that Sunday. We both went to our respective meetings and this is what happened:
Russell’s experience: After going to the initial consultation, which happened in an odd warehouse near downtown Los Angeles on a Friday afternoon, I was informed that I had passed some kind of test but it was unclear exactly how or why.
Several days after that consultation I received a cryptic email from a woman who claimed she also had gone to a consultation that day and did not have a good experience. She stated she had hunted me down through several sources and wanted to talk to me because she had heard my name being discussed at the consultation and wanted to meet with me in person. After a convoluted exchange of emails and phone messages, some returned and some ignored, a meeting was finally set. Then changed. A location was set, but the day before the meeting, this woman stated the location did not work and I would get a call the next morning to tell me where we could meet. Caution? Confusion? I could not tell.
On the day of the meeting, the time of contact passed, with no contact. My phone rang less than 20 minutes before the meeting time and she finally gave me a location -a local café. If I had not already been in the area, I would never have made the meeting in time.
Much to my surprise, I showed up at the café and no one was there. My phone rang and I was instructed to get into a vehicle waiting for me outside and I would be taken to the meeting. I must admit, that moment was a leap of faith. Getting into a car and not knowing where I was going to be taken was a bit of a thrill, actually. The driver simply stated he was to take me a few blocks away. He refused to say anything else. So, I got in and my little afternoon adventure began.
We drove to a nearby park where I finally met Jenna. Attractive, dressed in a stylish overcoat coat, she greeted me with a tentative handshake and smile.

The meeting itself was uneventful and offered very little new information, disappointingly. When I asked her to explain what she supposedly had overheard discussed about me at the consultation site, she only offered a vague, “Oh, I heard a lot of stuff.” Hmmmmm.
She had many questions for me, wondering if I had received any personal contact from anyone after the consultation. I informed her I had not – other then assurance that I had “passed.” We discussed the consultation. She claimed to have had almost exactly the same experience as I did. The difference was that she made it to the “Red Room” which has been mentioned in several places. Out of respect for her privacy, I will not reveal what she told me was inside that room. I will say it convinced her that they held very specific intimate personal information about her life. She questioned me if I had received any indication this group had specific private information about my life.
I revealed to her that, before the consultation, a very specific phrase was used in an email to me. This phrase is directly related to me and a specific creative project I have been involved with, but is not generally known to the public, yet. So, somebody has obvious done some research on my personal interests and things I am involved in.
Jenna’s reaction to this information was an attempt to convince me that my phone may be tapped and that my email may be monitored somehow. I do not believe this is happening and she could offer me no compelling evidence to convince me otherwise.
She also told me to be on the lookout for a blue car, a British man, and to be wary of female strangers calling me unexpectedly to offer vague warnings. Again, she stressed my phone may be tapped. I have not encountered anything she listed, yet.
At the end of the meeting she seemed surprised that I’m willing to continue communication with whatever The Tension Experience is or may turn out to be. Where she seemed paranoid… I am curious. I told her at the end of the meeting, “My curiosity outweighs everything else right now.” She looked at me like I was nuts.
Overall, the meeting offered no real new information to me, but it did demonstrate that The Tension Experience is creating just that – tension – for some people. As I said, curiosity reigns supreme right now, for me.

Mike’s experience: As I previously mentioned, I was contacted by a private investigator who was looking into the deaths of 4 people and the possible connection between them, the Church of Anoch, and the Tension Experience. Through various emails and phone calls, we decided on a time on Sunday. He couldn’t give me an exact address, but he told me to be on a certain street around the time of our meeting and he would contact me with further instructions. As I was turning onto the street, my phone rang. It was him and he asks if I had a pen and paper. Luckily I was at a stop light and could actually write down the address he gave me, but if I was on the freeway still, I don’t know how that would have worked.
I pulled into a parking lot to put the address into my phone. It was only a mile away. The instructions he gave me were to park, go towards the street and turn left and go through the pedestrian walkway. I did as instructed, but didn’t see anyone close to me. I did see a bunch of people waiting for the bus. One man did seem out of place though and I kept watching him. Mind you, this bus stop was about 30-40 yards away, so it wasn’t close, but I swear that this person kept eyeing me back. He eventually walked by me, going in the direction of which I just came, and then walked back. He was on the phone. He got off the phone and then did the same route. I went up to him and asked if he was “Bob” and he just looked at me. He said nothing and just stared at me and kept walking. “Ohhhkaaaayyy” I thought.
About 2 minutes later, I got another phone call. It was the investigator and he told me to go back to the parking lot. I went back to the parking lot and the man who ignored me was there waiting for me behind a big white van. Not sketchy at all. He then proceeded to apologize because he said he wanted to make sure I was alone and wasn’t followed and then started telling me again about why he was out here, basically what he told me in the email. He kept telling me to watch my back and to be careful and that we would meet again. While he was looking through his files, I asked him about his brother and if the visit was going well (since in his first email to me, he mentioned being out here to investigate and to see his brother). He then dropped the bombshell that he had no brother and was only out here to follow up on leads. He said this is the 4th or 5th state he’s tracked the Church to to follow leads. At that moment, I knew this was a way bigger puzzle than I thought it was.
Before we left, he said he needed me to read a statement to him and that he would film it for his files. The statement was along the lines of me saying I was not involved in the Church and how they’re not good people and things like that. Basically, every sentence had a “no” or “not” in it about the Church and my involvement. After the video, he proceeded to tell me that if he found out I was involved, that he would make my life a living hell, like the Church is doing to his family! THE CHURCH IS MAKING HIS LIFE A LIVING HELL??? WHAT?!
After that, he told me to leave and that we’d speak soon. When I got back to my car, there was a powdered donut on it. Me, being someone who looks into things WAY too much, instantly started freaking out. Did the Church put that there as a sign that they know I met with a cop (cops like donuts, right?). Was this another clue? Was I supposed to give it to the homeless guy in the parking lot? Was the homeless guy really homeless or was he a spy for the Church? Was there a clue IN the donut? (No there wasn’t. Yes, I checked)
A couple days later, I received an email from the investigator with troubling news. He told me that the previous night, he was mugged. His phone and some files were stolen. Great…I know he had my phone number and the video on the phone, but did he have anything about me in his files? Does he have my address? What other information do these muggers have on me now?
Then, about an hour later, I start getting texts from friends that I have a video on The Tension Experience’s Facebook page! The video is of me, but something was off about it. Oh yeah, none of the “negatives” were included! They were all edited out. I’m not accusing Tension of doing this, but I let them know that the video had been altered just in case they got it from someone else. I wanted them to be aware of it in case they got it thinking it was 100% legit. When I saw the video, I contacted the investigator letting him know and so he could try to get his belongings back. He replied saying that he would be in touch and to “watch my back”. Fantastic.
Here is the video:
endorsement. thank you mike, your words shall live on.

And that’s where I am so far with my experience.

Since our experiences, the OOA sent out a newsletter (pictured right). There are quite a few interesting points in it.
– There is now a forum on the Tension Experience website. Which I think is a VERY smart thing to do. Whenever you have experiences like this, there’s always people talking about it and geeking out over various places on the internet (Reddit, Unfiction, Facebook groups, etc). Now there is a central place for all of us to speculate and geek out on AND it gives the people behind the OOA/Tension to really only have to look in one main place to see how things are progressing.
– Dates. The newsletter gave us specific dates when things are going to happen.
4/1/16 – Registration opens
6/1/16 – Registration closes
6/15/16 – Orientation begins
6/25/16 – Orientation ceremony
So there are now dates to look forward to. Also, I’m going to assume that “ceremony” means some place or something we can actually go to and participate in.
– Clues. I get the feeling that there are clues or a code buried in here. Things are being said in a way that would lead you to believe that in order to participate, you must actually participate. I need to read it a bit more and see.
To keep up to date on what’s going on, follow them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, explore their website, and their forums.
